Did Razor Make the Right Calls? Justin Recaps All Blacks Team Naming

Martin Devlin

Posted 19 September 2024

Justin Marshall - former All Blacks halfback and renowned rugby commentator - joins Martin Devlin on It's Only Sport as he does every week. The New Zealand 23 to play Australia in Sydney this weekend has been named, with coach Scott Robertson making four changes to the starting side that lost to South Africa nearly a fortnight ago. Despite some new faces in the team, there are no major calls made, suggesting Robertson's largely pleased with his playing group despite three losses in their last four tests.

Marshall and Devlin talk about selections that stick out most, such as Damian McKenzie's ongoing selection at first-five. The pair also talk about how important a dominant performance from the All Blacks is, whether the Wallabies are still a feared opponent, and more.

Martin Devlin is a veteran New Zealand radio and television broadcaster.
