HELEN CLARK’S LEFTIE LANDSCAPING

The former New Zealand Prime Minister quietly foments bad behaviour.

Aotearoa’s Identitarian Left is ramping up its awful antics.

On Thursday 2 October, a woman named Acacia O’Connor joined a cacophonous protest against New Zealand First Party leader Winston Peters, directly outside Peters’ Auckland home. Acacia did so as a spokesperson for an international outfit called Global Movement for Gaza. On her live Instagram feed from the protest, Acacia was delighted to disclose Winston Peters’ home address and encouraged others to join the harassment of Peters.

Acacia O’Connor is a wannabe actor and musician who features in phone company One NZ’s farcically Woke advertising campaign about the fictitious quest of a young Māori man “Jade” (why not Pounamu?) who has been raised by Pākehā adoptive parents and wishes to discover his biological Māori lineage.

A few days later, on Saturday 5 October, Acacia joined Green Party co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick and other Greens MPs at a televised press conference in support of three New Zealanders detained by Israel for breaching a lawful sea blockade of the Gaza war zone.

Acacia’s doxing of Peters worked perfectly for her and her comrades. In the early evening of Sunday, 6 October, a man attacked Winston Peters’ home, smashing a window with a crowbar, traumatizing Peters’ dog (showered with broken glass), partner and house guest. Peters wasn’t at home. The perpetrator left a note, “Welcome to the Real World”.

On Saturday 5 October, Martyn “Bomber” Bradbury posted on his Daily Blog “If you are serving a National, ACT and NZF MP food, make sure you spit in that food.” Bomber’s blog was obviously distasteful and probably criminal.

So, who’s helping to reset New Zealand societal norms such that conduct like that of O’Connor, Bradbury and the Crowbar Coward is condoned? Who’s striving to recalibrate New Zealand’s notions of what’s acceptable so that Chlöe Swarbrick can chant “From the River to the Sea” (unsubtle code for let’s extinguish Israel, and kill all its Jewish inhabitants) and still remain the darling of ex-chair of Health New Zealand (and self-proclaimed Marxist), Rob Campbell.

Who’s sowing the seeds of all this seditious insanity? Answer: People such as ex-New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark, that’s who.

From 2009 to 2027, Helen Clark headed the United Nations Development Programme. Stemming from that role and her status as an “Elder” (more on The Elderflowers later), Aunty Helen has been a powerful advocate for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). UNRWA is the outfit that, in its “educative” role in Gaza and the West Bank, is proved to have systematically inculcated young Palestinians with antisemitism, terrorism, Islamic martyrdom and aspiration for annihilation of Israel – i.e., all the sentiments that inspired and fueled the atrocious Hamas-orchestrated October 7, 2023 invasion of Israel.

Despite proof of Hamas infiltration of UNRWA and UNRWA funding of Hamas (by paying Hamas-affiliated staff in cash), Helen Clark continues to strenuously defend UNRWA. We know where Helen’s sympathies lie.

(For those who think I’m a blinkered apologist for Israel’s response to October 7, I don’t agree with the response. In my irrelevant opinion, it would preferable for Israel to be executing a long term plan to assassinate all Hamas and Hezbollah leaders from the top down (wherever they are, including in Qatar), and to continue to do so until the Israeli hostages and October 7 culprits and orchestrators are handed over to face justice in Israel.)

Peters is personally, and New Zealand is officially, in favour of a Palestinian State - the so-called “Two State Solution”. The New Zealand Government’s contemporary rationale for not recognising a Palestinian State is that, with Hamas the de facto government of the Gaza Strip and the future so damn uncertain, there is currently no viable State of Palestine for New Zealand to recognise.

Those inconvenient impediments to New Zealand immediately recognising a Palestinian State have not stopped ex-PM Clark announcing to Red Radio New Zealand, “New Zealand has placed itself very much on the wrong side of history”. Clark has harped on about New Zealand breaking ranks with its traditional allies, especially Australia, Britain, Canada, France and Ireland, in not yet recognising a Palestinian State…harping which grates against other Helen harping – that New Zealand should be fiercely independent in its foreign policy.

In addition to being the Patron Saint of Palestine, Aunty Helen is the singular Patron of her very own “Helen Clark Foundation”. As a New Zealand registered charity, the HCF doesn’t have to pay tax or disclose much about itself. It’s therefore impossible to discern precisely who funds HCF’s advocacy or what it spends its money on. But here’s my smoky mirror image of HCF.

Helen Clark claims her Foundation doesn’t pay her directly, and we can take her word for that. But that doesn’t necessarily mean Helen isn’t in holy matrimony with her Foundation’s largesse. Helen’s hubby, Peter Davis, is a trustee of the Foundation. Peter encourages antisemitism. In response to antisemitic graffiti in Wellington in May 2025, misguided Peter D posted “you reap what you sow”…as if New Zealand Jews are responsible for the Israeli Government.

According to its website, the Helen Clark Foundation’s “major partners” (funders) are the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and WSP New Zealand.

In 2024, AUT received at least $14 million in direct government research and strategic initiative funding, which does not include baseline operational funding (e.g., for teaching and learning). So, through its AUT “partnership”, the Helen Clark Foundation is in effect Government funded.

WSP New Zealand was New Zealand’s former Ministry of Works. But it’s come a long way since then. It now has the Rainbow Tick.

Helen Clark reminds me a bit of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair is the creep who lied to the British public and Parliament that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, in order for Britain to join the U.S.’s (President George W. Bush’s) and Australia’s (Prime Minister John Howard’s) catastrophic Second Iraq War (2003 – 2011).

Clark didn’t take New Zealand into the Second Iraq War. However, following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on New York, Clark joined New Zealand in the U.S.-led “Operation Enduring Freedom” war on Afghanistan.

The wars on Iraq and Afghanistan destabilised the Middle East in ways that led directly to ISIS and the current Islamist control of Syria. But you won’t hear Helen Clark talking about that, or the other disasters unfolding in the troubled human world (think Ukraine, Myanmar, Sudan, Nigeria, Yemen, Haiti, Ethiopia). For Helen, it’s all about Israel and Gaza.

It was Nelson Mandela who founded The Elders - “independent global leaders working together for peace, justice, human rights and a sustainable planet”. We know what The Great Mandela would have thought of the current global resurgence of that most ancient of hates, ANTISEMITISM (AKA JEW-HATING). But what does Helen Clark think?
